Election Time....
Posted by Danh Phan (or dphan) Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 6:00 PMIt's around that time of the year again when voters line up early in the morning, prices of crude oil and gasoline prices fall, leaves turn gold-yellow, and temperatures fall below 50F (in Texas at least). Of course this only happens every 4 years when a presidential election is about to happen. Does any of this affect me?
Yep.
I'm a noob at this voting business because I had to check to see if I was a registered voter or not earlier today. Sometimes I wonder if my vote really counts. We basically vote for an elector whom then votes for the presidential candidate. Why can't the people directly vote? I guess this is how the system has been for a hundred years now.
